Life is hidden in small places

While on your way to somewhere else, have you ever driven past some tiny town and wondered how do people actually live here? If so, I’m here to tell you that you are not alone in your wondering. Life is oftentimes hidden in unexpected places. There are millions of communities sprinkled across the United States which, despite what they may look like at face value, are home to deep history, rich stories, and an interconnectedness so intricate it is sometimes hard to fully grasp. The people who live in these communities are connected to their homes in beautifully inexplicable ways. The goal of this project is to demonstrate how life, community, and history flourishes in the small towns nobody tends to think about in passing. My hope is that after reading the stories of the people in one small town, you will see every other “flyover” town with new eyes. Although these places may not look like much at first, I urge you to ponder the “deep roots” that are sure to be growing in all those small places.
